Nightclub Wallpaper at Chattahoochee Joe’s

The newest Honky Tonk Bar

Having wallpapered this nightclub on 2 levels around 10 years ago in an Art Deco style, in 2025 it has undergone a massive renovation and opening of a third level. Turning Fortitude Valley’s premier location into Brisbane’s biggest Honky Tonk bar. Coming #2 in Country Towns best Country music bars in Australia.

Custom made wallpaper

The brief for the overall aesthetic was modern country and western. Because they knew they were going to town decorating the whole space with western paraphernalia we decided the wallpaper was the base not the feature. We used faux brick wallpaper below dado’s throughout and faux worn timber panels above. We used custom made vinyl wallpaper by Studio Surface.

The Number Plate wallpaper

In the basement there are bulkheads and so we decided to create a number plate wallpaper to emulate many honky tonks in the US where it is traditional to leave your number plate on the wall. This was another custom creation using a metallic finish for effect. All the bulkheads were wrapped in this design as well as the side bar walls.
