Before & After Transformation – Queenslander Home Manly

When the builder and other painters advised ripping down the walls & ceilings in this Queenslander home in Manly and starting again we said no!! We can fix this and make it look like new.

Kitchen Before

This traditional Queenslander style home in the lovely Bayside of Manly, Brisbane had wallpaper from the 1950’s covering the walls,  ceilings and even the cornices.There was old style woodchip wallpaper on the ceiling. Once all the old wallpaper was completely removed what was exposed was some very deteriorated plaster.

The home owners were then quoted by other trade companies the expense of ripping all the damaged plaster surfaces down and having to put up new walls & ceilings throughout the entire home.

This is where the homeowners contacted us and as specialist decorators we were able to confidently work with the existing substrates. We sanded everything back and either applied a skim coat of plaster or lined the surfaces with a thick quality lining wallpaper, whichever was more beneficial to that area, then repainted the entire home including the exterior. Inside and out is now looking stunning.

This lovely Queenslander home now looks like new saving the homeowners thousands of dollars!!
